पूर्व नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष की हत्या के मामले में हाईकोर्ट ने खारिज की पूर्व सांसद की जमानत याचिका

इलाहाबाद उच्‍च न्‍यायालय की लखनऊ खंडपीठ ने बलरामपुर जिले में पूर्व नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष फिरोज अहमद उर्फ पप्‍पू की हत्‍या के मामले में पूर्व सांसद रिजवान ज़हीर की जमानत याचिका खारिज कर दी है। न्यायमूर्ति दिनेश कुमार सिंह की पीठ ने रिजवान की जमानत याचिका खारिज की है। अदालत ने कहा कि रिजवान का गंभीर आपराधिक इतिहास रहा है और जब भी वह जेल से बाहर आता है तो एक और गंभीर अपराध में शामिल हो जाता है। उस पर पप्पू की हत्या का आरोप है।

अभियोजन पक्ष के अनुसार, फिरोज को तुलसीपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से चुनाव लड़ने के लिए समाजवादी पार्टी से टिकट चाहिए था जबकि रिजवान को अपनी बेटी के लिए टिकट चाहिए था। आरोप है कि इसी राजनीतिक प्रतिद्वंद्विता के चलते उसने फिरोज अहमद की हत्या करवाई। उल्लेखनीय है कि जनवरी माह में बलरामपुर जिले के तुलसीपुर के पूर्व नगर पंचायत अध्यक्ष फिरोज अहमद उर्फ पप्‍पू की गला रेतकर हत्या कर दी गई थी जिसमें रिजवान जहीर और उसकी बेटी व दामाद समेत छह लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया था।
