लखनऊ। विशेष एमपी/एमएलए अदालत के अपर मुख्य न्यायिक मजिस्ट्रेट अमरीश कुमार श्रीवास्तव ने तीन साल पुराने एक आपराधिक मामले में सीतापुर जेल में बंद पूर्व कैबिनेट मंत्री आजम खान की जमानत अर्जी खारिज कर दी है। अभियोजन पक्ष की दलीलें सुनने के बाद खान की जमानत अर्जी खारिज करते हुए अदालत ने करते हुए कहा कि आरोपी ने ऐसे तथ्यों को प्रकाशित किया, जो लोकभय उत्पन्न करते हैं, जिससे कोई व्यक्ति या समुदाय लोक शांति को भंग करने के लिए उत्प्रेरित हो सकता है। ऐसी स्थिति में जमानत पर रिहा किए जाने का कोई औचित्य नहीं है।
जमान याचिका में खान ने कहा था कि उनके खिलाफ आरोप निराधार हैं और वह दो साल से जेल में बंद हैं, ऐसे में उन्हें जमानत दी जानी चाहिए। आजम खान भूमि कब्जा करने सहित कई मामलों में फिलहाल सीतापुर जेल में बंद हैं। गौरतलब है कि आजम खां के खिलाफ इस मामले की शिकायत हजरतगंज थाने में एक फरवरी 2019 वादी अल्लामा जमीर नकवी ने दर्ज कराई थी।
