जम्मू-कश्मीर के शोपियां में सेना और आंतकियों के बीच हुए मुठभेड़ में रुद्रपुर का लाल शहीद हो गया। शनिवार की सुबह की सेना के सर्च ऑपरेशन के दौरान हुई घटना में सेना के हवालदार रुद्रपुर के टड़वा गांव के बरईपार गांव निवासी युवक को गोली लग गई। कुछ देर बाद वह शहीद हो गए। उनके शहीद की खबर आते ही रुद्रपुर में शोक की लहर दौड़ गई।

एकौना थाने के सचौली पटवनिया गांव के मूल निवासी शेषनाथ यादव अपने ससुराल टड़वा के बरईपार में मकान बनवा कर रहते है। उनका बड़ा बेटा संतोष यादव बीएसएफ में हवलदार पद पर तैनात थे। वर्तमान में उनकी ड्यूटी जम्मू-कश्मीर के शोपियां में थी। शनिवार की सुबह भारतीय सेना शोपिया के जैनापोरा इलाके में सर्च ऑपरेशन चला रही थी। इस दौरान आंतकियों से उनकी मुठभेड़ हो गई। जिसमे सेना के दो जवान शहीद हो गए। शहीदों में रुद्रपुर के संतोष यादव भी शामिल थे। सेना के जवाबी कार्रवाई में एक आतंकी भी मारा गया।
