उत्तर प्रदेश के देवरिया जिले में स्थानीय प्राधिकारी (विधान परिषद) निर्वाचन की तैयारी तेज हो गई है और आज से यहां नामांकन की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो जाएगी। आधिकारिक सूत्रों ने यहां बताया कि मंगलवार को यहां कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर नामांकन शुरू हो जाएगा। इस दौरान यहां सुरक्षा के कड़े बन्दोबस्त किये गये हैं। चुनाव में 5513 मतदाता नौ अप्रैल को सुबह आठ बजे से शाम के चार बजे तक मतदाता अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करेंगे। मतदाताओं में सांसद, विधायक, एमएलसी, ग्राम प्रधान, बीडीसी सदस्य, जिला पंचायत सदस्य, नगर पालिका व नगर पंचायत के अध्यक्ष, सभासद आदि भाग लेंगे।
इसमें देवरिया जिले के 2786 तथा कुशीनगर के 2727 मतदाता हैं। मतगणना 12 अप्रैल को होगी। सूत्रों के अनुसार देवरिया और कुशीनगर जिलों के सभी ब्लाक कार्यालय तथा जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष कार्यालय में बूथ बनाए जायेंगे। 15 से 22 मार्च तक नामांकन की प्रक्रिया चलेगी। देवरिया कलेक्ट्रेट स्थित जिलाधिकारी न्यायालय कक्ष में नामांकन प्रक्रिया होगी। जिलाधिकारी आशुतोष निरंजन रिटर्निंग आफिसर होंगे।
