उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने शुक्रवार को अधिकारियों से यह सुनिश्चित करने को कहा कि नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा के विश्वविद्यालय युवाओं में नशीली पदार्थों के खतरे से निपटने के लिए आंतरिक दल गठित करें। उन्होंने गौतमबौद्ध नगर प्रशासन के अधिकारियों, पुलिस विभाग और चुने हुए प्रतिनिधियों के साथ एक समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान निर्देश दिए। पिछले कुछ महीनों में नोएडा और ग्रेटर नोएडा में कई मादक पदार्थ तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है और उनके पास से बड़ी मात्रा में प्रतिबंधित पदार्थ जब्त किए गए हैं। पुलिस ने पाया कि इन तस्करों के निशाने पर कॉलेज और विश्वविद्यालय भी थे।
समीक्षा बैठक के दौरान स्थिति को गंभीरता से लेते हुए आदित्यनाथ ने मादक पदार्थ तस्करों के खिलाफ राज्यव्यापी अभियान में विश्वविद्यालयों की भागीदारी पर जोर दिया। एक आधिकारिक बयान के अनुसार, मुख्यमंत्री ने विश्वविद्यालयों से मादक पदार्थों की लत के मुद्दे को हल करने के लिए समर्पित आंतरिक दलों को गठित करने करने को कहा। बयान में कहा गया, आदित्यनाथ ने वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों को नशा विरोधी अभियान में तेजी लाने और कड़े कदम उठाने का निर्देश दिया और कहा कि विश्वविद्यालयों और शैक्षणिक संस्थानों के आसपास मंडराने वाले संदिग्ध लोगों की जांच की जानी चाहिए।
