काचा बादाम का मतलब कच्ची मूंगफली होता है। बांग्ला में मूंगफली को बादाम कहा जाता है। इस तरह भुबन ने कोलकाता का गलियों में मूंगफली बेचने के लिए ‘काचा बादाम’ गाने का सहारा लिया। मशहूर बाउल लोकगीत के धुन पर उन्होंने यह गाना बनाया है। रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, भुबन बादायकर पश्चिम बंगाल के बीरभूम जिले के रहने वाले हैं। उनका घर दुबराजपूर ब्लॉक के तहत आने वाले कुरालजुरी (Kuraljuri) गांव में है। भुबन के परिवार में उनकी पत्नी, 2 बेटे और 1 बेटी है।

काचा बादाम बेचने से 200-250 रुपये तक रोजना की कमाई

दिलचस्प है कि भुबन घर की टूटी-फूटी चीजों के बदले भी मूंगफली बेचते हैं। मूंगफली बेचने के लिए वे दूर-दूर के गांव में भी जाते हैं। बताया जाता है कि वह रोजाना 3-4 किलो मूंगफली बेच देते हैं और 200-250 रुपये तक उनकी कमाई होती है। हालांकि, गाना वायरल होने के बाद उनकी कमाई बढ़ गई है।

‘काचा बादाम’ गाने का तैयार हुआ रीमिक्स

सिंगर और म्यूजिशियन नज्‍मू रीचैट ने ‘काचा बादाम’ गाने का रीमिक्‍स बनाया है। उन्होंने इसे इंटरनेट पर अपलोड दिया। यह खाना लोगों को पसंद आने लगा और देखते ही देखते वायरल हो गया। ‘कच्‍चा बादाम डांस चैलेंज’ भी शुरू हो गया। लोग इस पर अपने हिसाब से गाने के स्‍टेप्‍स बनाने लगे। अब तो कई इंफ्युएंसर भुबन के पास पहुंच रहे हैं और इनके साथ वीडियो बना रहे हैं।
