उत्तर प्रदेश में वाराणसी की एक अदालत ने शुक्रवार को काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के निकट स्थित मां श्रृंगार गौरी-ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद मामले में हिंदू पक्ष की मांग को स्वीकार करते हुए पूरे ज्ञानवापी परिसर की पुरातात्विक एवं वैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण कराने की अनुमति दी है। ज्ञानवापी और आदि विश्वेश्वर मामलों के विशेष अधिवक्ता राजेश मिश्रा ने बताया कि वाराणसी के जनपद न्यायाधीश ए के विश्वेश ने शुक्रवार को यह फैसला सुनाया। मिश्रा ने बताया कि ए के विश्वेश की अदालत ने हिंदू पक्ष की याचिका को स्वीकार करते हुए ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद के वैज्ञानिक सर्वेक्षण की अनुमति दी है।
विश्वेश की अदालत ने पूरे ज्ञानवापी परिसर की पुरातात्विक एवं वैज्ञानिक जांच कराने की मांग से संबंधित मामले में दोनों पक्षों को सुनने के बाद आज (21 जुलाई) के लिए फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था। मामले में हिंदू पक्ष द्वारा दायर याचिका में भारतीय पुरातत्व सर्वेक्षण (एएसआई) को पूरे ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद परिसर का सर्वेक्षण करने का निर्देश देने की मांग की गई थी। मुस्लिम पक्ष ने यह कहते हुए याचिका का विरोध किया था कि एएसआई सर्वेक्षण से परिसर को नुकसान हो सकता है।
