राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में मतदान के दौरान सोमवार को उत्तर प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री ब्रजेश पाठक और समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) के सहयोगी दल सुहेलदेव भारतीय समाज पार्टी (सुभासपा) के प्रमुख ओम प्रकाश राजभर के बीच विधानसभा में काफी ‘गर्मजोशी’ दिखी। मतदान करने जाने से पहले दोनों नेताओं ने मीडियाकर्मियों को मुस्कुराते हुए देखा। राजभर ने कहा, द्रौपदी मुर्मू जी राष्ट्रपति चुनाव जीतने जा रही हैं, दिल्ली का रास्ता लखनऊ से होकर गुजरता है। वह भारी बहुमत से जीतने जा रही हैं।

राजभर ने शुक्रवार को कहा था कि उनकी पार्टी ने केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह, राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में राजग की उम्मीदवार मुर्मू तथा उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की अपील पर उनका (मुर्मू का) समर्थन करने का फैसला किया है। सुभासपा प्रमुख ने स्पष्ट किया था कि सपा के साथ उनकी पार्टी का गठबंधन बरकरार है और वह गठबंधन से अलग नहीं हो रहे हैं। राजभर ने कहा था, मैं अभी भी समाजवादी पार्टी के साथ गठबंधन में हूं। राष्ट्रपति चुनाव में पार्टी राजग उम्मीदवार द्रौपदी मुर्मू का समर्थन कर रही है। उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा में सुभासपा के छह विधायक हैं, जिनमें राजभर भी शामिल हैं। उल्लेखनीय है कि 2017 में उत्तर प्रदेश विधानसभा चुनाव में सुभासपा, भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) के साथ थी और राज्य में भाजपा की सरकार बनने के बाद सत्ता में शामिल भी हुई थी लेकिन बाद में पार्टी (सुभासपा) सरकार से अलग हो गयी थी।
