बलिया की स्थानीय अदालत ने एक युवक की हत्या के दो वर्ष पुराने मामले में आरोपी व्यक्ति और उसके दो पुत्रों को दोषी करार देते हुए आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई है। पुलिस विभाग के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने रविवार को यह जानकारी दी। बलिया के पुलिस अधीक्षक (एसपी) देव रंजन वर्मा ने रविवार को बताया कि जिला न्यायाधीश अशोक कुमार की अदालत ने शनिवार को मामले की सुनवाई करते हुए दोनों पक्षों की दलील सुनने के बाद तीनों आरोपियों राम प्रवेश गोड़ व उसके दो बेटों धर्मेन्द्र गोड़ उर्फ बालक गोड़ व दीनानाथ गोड़ को दोषी करार देते हुए आजीवन कारावास की सजा सुनाई और 11-11 हजार रुपये का जुर्माना भी लगाया।
अभियोजन पक्ष के अनुसार जिले के चितबड़ागांव थाना क्षेत्र के रामपुर चिट गांव में 26 मार्च 2022 को अमरजीत गोड़ (20) के सिर पर लोहे की छड़ से प्रहार कर उसकी हत्या कर दी गयी थी। इस मामले में अमरजीत की मां शैल कुमारी की शिकायत पर पुलिस ने राम प्रवेश गोड़ व उसके दो बेटे धर्मेन्द्र गोड़ उर्फ़ बालक गोड़ व दीनानाथ गोड़ के विरुद्ध भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 302 (हत्या) समेत अन्य संबंधित धाराओं में मामला दर्ज किया था। पुलिस ने जांच के बाद तीनों आरोपियों के विरुद्ध अदालत में आरोप पत्र दाखिल किया, जहां शनिवार को जिला न्यायाधीश ने सुनवाई पूरी कर सजा सुनाई।
