उत्तर प्रदेश में मऊ जिले के सदर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से पूर्व विधायक मुख्तार अंसारी की मुसीबतें बढ़ती जा रही हैं। गैंगस्टर के मामले में मुख्तार और उसके सहयोगी भीम सिंह को एमपी-एमएलए कोर्ट ने दस-दस साल की सजा सुनाई है। अदालत ने पांच-पांच लाख रुपये का अर्थ दंड भी लगाया है। एमपी-एमएलए कोर्ट के न्यायाधीश दुर्गेश ने 1996 में दर्ज गैंगस्टर के मुकदमे में मुख्तार अंसारी को दोषी माना। विशेष बात यह की 1978 से अब तक लगातार अपराधिक घटनाओं में नाम आज जाने के बावजूद पहली बार किसी ट्रायल कोर्ट द्वारा मुख्तार अंसारी को सजायाफ्ता घोषित किया गया है जिन पर अब तक आधा दर्जन अभियोग चल रहे हैं।
गौरतलब है कि मुख्तार और उसके साथियों ने तीन अगस्त 1991 में बनारस में पूर्व विधायक अजय राय के भाई अवधेश राय की हत्या कर दी थी। इसके बाद इसी मामले की विवेचना के दौरान 1996 में गाजीपुर की पुलिस ने गैंगस्टर का मुकदमा दर्ज किया था। गाजीपुर जिले के एक मुकदमे में गुरुवार को माफिया मुख्तार की पेशी ईडी कार्यालय में वीडियो कान्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए कराई गई। अदालत मुख्तार के मुकदमे में फैसला सुनाया गया है। वीडियो कान्फ्रेंसिंग के लिए बुधवार को ही जरूरी इंतजाम ईडी कार्यालय में किया गया था। मुख्तार के खिलाफ यूपी, दिल्ली, पंजाब के विभन्नि थानों में 40 से अधिक मुकदमे दर्ज हैं। उसको पंजाब से बांदा जेल में ट्रांसफर किए जाने के बाद ईडी ने उसके परिवार पर भी शिकंजा कसा है। बाहुबली माफिया मुख्तार अंसारी आगामी नौ दिनों तक प्रवर्तन निदेशालय (ईडी) की कस्टडी में रहेगा।
कस्टडी रिमांड की अर्जी पर सुनवाई करते हुए जिला जज संतोष राय ने अभियुक्त को 14 दिसंबर दोपहर एक बजे से लेकर 23 दिसंबर की दोपहर दो बजे तक ईडी को कस्टडी में रखने का आदेश दिया है। अदालत ने यह भी कहा कि हिरासत अवधि समाप्त होने पर न्यायिक अभिरक्षा के समय मेडिकल परीक्षण कराया जाए। कस्टडी रिमांड मिलने के बाद कड़ी सुरक्षा के बीच माफिया मुख्तार को ईडी कार्यालय ले जाकर पूछताछ शुरू की गई। इसी मामले में मुख्तार का बेटा विधायक अब्बास व साला आतिफ रजा भी जेल में बंद हैं। मुख्तार अंसारी पर चल रहे प्रमुख अभियोग में मुगलसराय में आरक्षी हत्याकांड, गाजीपुर में तत्कालीन विधायक कृष्णानंद राय हत्याकांड, वाराणसी का बहुचर्चित नंदकिशोर रुंगटा अपहरण कांड व वाराणसी में अवधेश राय हत्याकांड शामिल है।
