अलीगढ़ में मौजूद सपा के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि यह आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव उत्तर प्रदेश के भविष्य का चुनाव है। देश को सही दिशा में ले जाने का चुनाव है। आने वाले समय में संविधान को बचाने का चुनाव है। यह चुनाव इसलिए भी जरूरी है कि उत्तर प्रदेश में लोकतंत्र को बचाने के लिए यह चुनाव जरूरी है।

पिछले दिनों सपा और राष्ट्रीय लोक दल मिलकर प्रचार कर रहे थे, पहले चरण का चुनाव का जो माहौल बना हुआ है उससे साफ पता लग रहा है कि उत्तर प्रदेश की जनता ने भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार को उखाड़ फेंकने का मन बना लिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि मैं आपके बीच आरएलडी-सपा गठबंधन के जनपद के सातों प्रत्याशियों को प्रचंड बहुमत से जिताने की अपील करने आया हूं।

भाजपा पर निशाना साधते हुए अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि कहने को तो डबल इंजन की सरकार है लेकिन इस सरकार ने प्रदेश की जनता पर जो अत्याचार किए हैं वह कोई सोच भी नहीं सकता था इस सरकार ने किसानों पर जो अत्याचार करके बर्बाद किया है इसे कौन नहीं जानता है।
