बरेली जिले में छह साल पहले हाफिजगंज क्षेत्र के तिगरा गांव में एक किसान दंपति और उनके तीन बच्चों की हत्या के मामले में यहां की एक अदालत ने आरोपी दो लोगों को दोषी ठहराते हुए उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई है। अभियोजन पक्ष के वकील ने बुधवार को यह जानकारी दी। वकील रीतराम राजपूत ने बताया कि 12 सितंबर 2016 को हाफिजगंज थाना क्षेत्र के तिगरा गांव में सुच्चा सिंह उनकी पत्नी जसप्रीत कौर और उनके तीन बच्चों की हत्या कर दी गई थी। सिंह की मां बलजीत कौर ने घटना की रिपोर्ट दर्ज कराई थी।
उन्होंने बताया कि रिपोर्ट में कहा गया था कि बलजीत कौर के बेटे सुच्चा सिंह का पारिवारिक संपत्ति और जमीन को लेकर भाइयों से झगड़ा चल रहा था। उसने पश्चिम बंगाल की एक महिला से शादी कर उसका नाम जसप्रीत कौर रख लिया था। राजपूत ने बताया कि फरवरी 2016 में सुच्चा सिंह ने अपनी पत्नी जसप्रीत कौर की ओर से अदालत के जरिये अपने भाई कश्मीर सिंह और बहनोई जोगेंद्र के खिलाफ दुष्कर्म का मामला दर्ज कराया था।
बाद में, सुच्चा सिंह ने अपने वकील के जरिये कश्मीर सिंह और जोगेंद्र से दुष्कर्म के मामले में गवाही नहीं देने के एवज में एक लाख रुपये ले लिये थे। इसके बावजूद उसने दोनों के खिलाफ गवाही दे दी। इससे सुच्चा सिंह और कश्मीर सिंह के बीच तनाव काफी बढ़ गया था।
उन्होंने बताया कि 12 सितंबर 2016 को रात में कश्मीर सिंह और जोगेंद्र ने सुच्चा सिंह उसकी पत्नी जसप्रीत कौर और उसके तीन बच्चों की तलवार से वार कर हत्या कर दी थी। राजपूत ने बताया कि अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश हरेंद्र बहादुर सिंह ने मंगलवार शाम सुच्चा सिंह के भाई कश्मीर सिंह और बहनोई जोगेंद्र सिंह को उम्रकैद की सजा सुनाई।
