मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने बुधवार को कहा कि डबल इंजन की सरकार बरेली समेत प्रदेश के विकास के लिए प्रतिबद्धता से काम कर रही है और जनमानस की सुविधाओं को देखते हुए शहरों को स्मार्ट सिटी के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि बरेली अभी तक ‘झुमका वाले’ शहर के रूप में जाना जाता रहा था लेकिन अब इसकी पहचान स्मार्ट सिटी के रूप में बढ़ रही है। सरकार द्वारा जारी एक बयान के मुताबिक, बरेली कॉलेज ग्राउंड में प्रबुद्धजन सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने 1,459 करोड़ रुपये की 188 विकास की परियोजनाओं का लोकार्पण और शिलान्यास किया। बरेली की जनता का आभार व्यक्त करते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि विधानसभा चुनाव में आपने नौ में से सात सीटें भाजपा की झोली में डालीं।
उन्होंने कहा कि डबल इंजन की सरकार बरेली समेत प्रदेश के विकास के लिए प्रतिबद्धता से काम कर रही है और जनमानस की सुविधाओं को देखते हुए शहरों को स्मार्ट सिटी के रूप में विकसित किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि निवेशकों के परिश्रम और पुरुषार्थ से शहर स्मार्ट हो रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में बरेली ने सबसे ज्यादा डॉक्टर जनप्रतिनिधि दिए हैं। मुख्यमंत्री आदित्यनाथ ने कहा, इंटीग्रेटेड कंट्रोल कमांड सेंटर के जरिए स्मार्ट मिशन में कोविड-19 की बेहतर व्यवस्था की गई। वही कूड़ा प्रबंधन और शहर को सुरक्षित रखने की दिशा में भी महत्वपूर्ण कार्य किया गया है। पिछले साढ़े पांच साल में प्रदेश में सुरक्षा और कानून-व्यवस्था बेहतर हुई है। बरेली समेत प्रदेश के 18 शहरों को सेफ सिटी बनाने के कार्यक्रम को आगे बढ़ाया जा रहा है।
इसका परिवर्तन व्यापक रूप से देखने को मिल रहा है। जहां पहले तारों के गुच्छे लटक रहे थे। वह शहर और बाजार अब स्मार्ट हो रहे हैं। पूर्ववर्ती सपा व बसपा सरकारों पर निशाना साधते हुए मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि साढ़े पांच साल से पहले बरेली में कर्फ्यू और बंटवारे हो रहे थे लेकिन भाजपा की सरकार आने के बाद से बरेली में एक बार भी कर्फ्यू नहीं लगा है। उन्होंने कहा कि डबल इंजन की सरकार के साथ अब हमें निकाय के बोर्ड को भी लाना होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले पांच साल मेंबोर्ड ने स्मार्ट सिटी में जो विकास के काम किए हैं उनको और आगे बढ़ाने की जरूरत है। मुख्यमंत्री ने दावा किया कि उत्तर प्रदेश जल्द ही देश की नंबर वन अर्थव्यवस्था बनेगा।
