भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा) ने उत्तर प्रदेश में पिछले विधान सभा चुनाव की दौड़ में जिन वरष्ठि नेताओं को शामिल नहीं किया था, उन्हें अब संसद के उच्च सदन की सदस्यता का प्रतिफल दिया है। उत्तर प्रदेश में राज्य सभा की 11 सीटों के लिये होने जा रहे चुनाव के उम्मीदवारों की सूची में भाजपा ने पूर्व प्रदेश अध्यक्ष लक्ष्मीकांत वाजपेयी और गोरखपुर सदर सीट से पूर्व विधायक डा राधा मोहन अग्रवाल समेत छह लोगों उनकी निष्ठा और मेहनत का देर सबेर प्रतिफल मिलने का संदेश दिया है।
गौरतलब है कि भाजपा ने 2017 का विधान सभा चुनाव तत्कालीन प्रदेश अध्यक्ष वाजपेयी की अगुवाई में ही लड़ा था, यह बात दीगर है कि चुनाव का चेहरा प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी थे और वाजपेयी को स्वयं चुनाव में हार का सामना करना पड़ा था। इतना ही नहीं 2022 के विधान सभा चुनाव में पार्टी ने उन्हें ज्वायनिंग कमेटी का प्रभार सौंपा था, जिसे उन्होंने कांग्रेस के दग्गिज नेता आरपीएन सिंह सहित अन्य नेताओं को भगवा खेमे में शामिल कराकर बखूबी निभाया। अब इसके प्रतिफल में पार्टी ने उन्हें राज्य सभा भेजने का फैसला किया है।
भाजपा के उम्मीदवारों की सूची में दूसरा महत्वपूर्ण नाम डा अग्रवाल का है, जिन्हें विधाानसभा चुनाव के से ठीक पहले चुनाव की दौड़ से अलग कर गोरखपुर सदर सीट से पार्टी ने मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ को उम्मीदवार घोषित कर दिया था।
टिकट कटने के झटके से मायूस डा अग्रवाल को अपने खेमे में लेने के लिये विरोधी दल सपा ने भरपूर कोशिश की लेकिन उन्होंने पूरे धैर्य और संयम का परिचय दिया जिसका प्रतिफल पार्टी ने उन्हें संसद के उच्च सदन में भेजने के रूप में दिया। भाजपा उम्मीदवारों की सूची में पार्टी की वरष्ठि महिला नेता दर्शना सिंह भी शामिल हैं। वह भाजपा की महिला मोर्चा की उपाध्यक्ष और प्रदेश अध्यक्ष भी रहीं। इसके अलावा पार्टी ने 2019 के लोकसभा चुनाव से पहले सपा से भाजपा में शामिल हुए सुरेन्द्र सिंह नागर को भी टिकट देकर उन्हें दोबारा उच्च सदन में भेजने का अपना वादा निभाया है।
भाजपा ने संगीता यादव को भी राज्य सभा के चुनाव में उम्मीदवार बनाया है। गोरखपुर की चौरीचौरा सीट से विधायक रहीं संगीता यादव क्षेत्र में जनता के लिये सर्वसुलभ रहने वाले नेताओं में शुमार हैं। जनसेवा से राजनीति में आयीं संगीता यादव का पिछले विधान सभा चुनाव में टिकट कट गया था। भाजपा के उम्मीदवारों की सूची में बाबू राम निषाद भी शामिल हैं। पिछड़ा वर्ग वत्ति एवं विकास निगम के अध्यक्ष रहे निषाद को टिकट देकर भाजपा ने पिछड़े वर्ग की नुमांइदगी को संसद के उच्च सदन में संतुलित करने का संदेश दिया है।
