समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) के वरिष्ठ नेता और रामपुर के विधायक आजम खान ने शनिवार को उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार पर तानाशाही भरे अंदाज में काम करने का आरोप लगाया। उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार की कार्यप्रणाली का अंदाजा इस बात से लगाया जा सकता है कि उन पर और उनके परिवार पर मुर्गी चोरी, बकरी चोरी, शराब दुकान लूटने जैसे आरोप लगाये हैं। आजमगढ़ संसदीय क्षेत्र के उपचुनाव में सपा प्रत्याशी धर्मेंद्र यादव के प्रचार के लिए शनिवार को नसीरपुर में आयोजित जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए खान ने एक तरफ जहां अपना दर्द बयां किया, वहीं दूसरी ओर भाजपा सरकार पर जमकर हमला बोला।
उन्होंने दावा किया कि जेल में उन्हें एड़िया रगड़ने के लिए मजबूर किया गया ताकि वे आत्महत्या कर लें अथवा सरकार के सामने घुटनें टेक दें, लेकिन उन्होंने ऐसा नहीं किया। उच्चतम न्यायालय से अंतरिम जमानत मिलने पर मई माह में जेल से छूटे खान ने शनिवार को आजमगढ़ से पहले बरेली हवाई अड्डा पर पत्रकारों से बातचीत में भी सरकार पर निशाना साधा। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश में जो हालात हैं, उससे अच्छी तानाशाही होती है। सपा के वरिष्ठ नेता ने अग्निपथ योजना को लेकर भारतीय जनता पार्टी (भाजपा)के नेतृत्व वाली केंद्र सरकार पर हमला करते हुए कहा कि अग्निपथ योजना में युवाओं का कितना हित है, ये सामने दिखाई दे रहा है, जो इस पर आंदोलन कर रहे हैं। एक सवाल के जवाब में उन्होंने कहा कि मेरे कहने से न योजना शुरू हुई है और न ही बंद होगी। उन्होने कहा कि सरकार किसानों के बाद अब युवाओं को ठगने जा रही है।
उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश सरकार तानाशाही भरे अंदाज में काम कर रही है। खान वाराणसी जाने के लिए बरेली हवाई अड्डा पर आये थे। आजम खान ने कहा कि उनके अपनों के साथ, उनके शहर और जिले के साथ जो सलूक हुआ उसके बारे में वह यह दावे के साथ कहते हैं कि पूरी दुनिया में किसी राजनेता के साथ किसी हुकूमत ने इतना ‘घटिया’ सुलूक नहीं किया होगा। उन्होंने कहा कि ”कोई हुकूमत इतनी नहीं गिरी होगी। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी डिग्री कॉलेज में पढ़ाने वाली असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर पत्नी और एमटेक पास बेटा, जो विधायक भी था, और खुद उन पर शराब की दुकानें लूटने और 16 हजार रुपये गल्ले से चोरी करने का मुकदमा दर्ज है।
नसीरपुर की चुनावी जनसभा में आजम खान ने कहा कि ”रामपुर या आजमगढ़ में चुनाव जीतने से हुकमत नहीं बदलने वाली है, लेकिन हमें अपने अस्तित्व की रक्षा करनी है। भीषण धूप और गर्मी के बीच जनसभा को संबोधित करते हुए अपने करीब 50 मिनट के संबोधन में खान ने कहा कि जेल में जो जुल्म मेरे साथ हुआ, उसे याद रखा जाएगा, हम 27 महीने तक जेल में रहे। हमें एड़ियां रगड़ने या माथा टेक देने को मजबूर किया गया, पर हमने ऐसा नहीं किया। सपा नेता ने कहा, मैं अपनी तकलीफ का जिक्र करने नहीं आया हूं, आपसे कहने आया हूं कि इस चुनाव से हुकूमत नहीं बदलेगी, लेकिन मुल्क को एहसास हो जाएगा कि हम किस तरह विश्वगुरु बनेंगे।
उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि मेरा गुनाह यही कि हम मुसलमान हैं, मेरे दामन पर कोई दाग नहीं है। मैं 27 महीने की तन्हाई काटकर आया हूं, वह इसलिए कि हुक्मरानों पर कत्ल का इल्जाम न आए और हम मर जाएं। खान ने कहा कि सीतापुर जेल में लोग खुदकुशी करते हैं, इसलिए हमें सीतापुर जेल में रखा गया लेकिन मैं कल भी जिंदा था, आज भी हूं और कल भी रहूंगा। उल्लेखनीय है कि समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव के त्यागपत्र से रिक्त हुई आजमगढ़ संसदीय सीट पर उपचुनाव हो रहा है, जहां अखिलेश के चचेरे भाई पूर्व सांसद धर्मेंद्र यादव सपा के उम्मीदवार हैं। वर्ष 2019 में अखिलेश यादव से मुकाबले में हार चुके दिनेश लाल यादव ‘निरहुआ’ को भाजपा ने फिर से उम्मीदवार बनाया है जबकि बहुजन समाज पार्टी से शाह आलम उर्फ गुडडू जमाली मैदान में हैं। आजमगढ़ में 23 जून को मतदान होगा।
