यूपी एसटीएफ को बड़ी सफलता: आईएसआई के लिए जासूसी करने वाले दूतावास कर्मी को किया गिरफ्तार

लखनऊ। उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस के आतंकवाद निरोधक दस्ते (एटीएस) ने पाकिस्तानी खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई के साथ मिलकर देश विरोधी गतिविधियों में शामिल होने और उन्हें रक्षा मंत्रालय, विदेश मंत्रालय और भारतीय सैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों की सामरिक गतिविधियों के संबंध में महत्वपूर्ण गोपनीय जानकारी मुहैया कराने के आरोप में मॉस्को स्थित भारतीय दूतावास में कार्यरत एक व्यक्ति को गिरफ्तार किया है। उप्र के पुलिस महानिदेशक प्रशांत कुमार की ओर से रविवार को यहां जारी एक बयान में कहा गया कि पाकिस्‍तानी खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई के लिए जासूसी करने वाले एजेंट भारतीय दूतावास मास्को (रूस) में नियुक्त कर्मचारी सतेन्‍द्र सिवाल को गिरफ्तार किया गया है। हापुड़ जिले के देहात थाना क्षेत्र के गांव शाह महीउद्दीनपुर निवासी सतेंद्र सिवाल विदेश मंत्रालय में कार्यरत है और वर्तमान में रूस के मॉस्को में भारतीय दूतावास में तैनात है।

एटीएस को विभिन्न गोपनीय स्रोतों से खुफिया जानकारी मिल रही थी कि पाकिस्तानी खुफिया एजेंसी आईएसआई के हैंडलर कुछ लोगों के माध्यम से भारतीय सेना से संबंधित रणनीतिक और रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण जानकारी प्राप्त करने के लिए विदेश मंत्रालय के कर्मचारियों को धन का लालच दे रहे हैं, जिससे भारत की आंतरिक और बाह्य सुरक्षा को बड़ा खतरा होने की आशंका है। एटीएस ने इलेक्ट्रॉनिक और भौतिक निगरानी के माध्यम से अपनी जांच में पाया कि सतेन्‍द्र सिवाल आईएसआई संचालकों के नेटवर्क के साथ भारत विरोधी गतिविधियों में शामिल था और रक्षा मंत्रालय, विदेश मंत्रालय और भारतीय सैन्य प्रतिष्ठानों की रणनीतिक गतिविधियों के बारे में महत्वपूर्ण गोपनीय जानकारी प्रदान कर रहा था। बयान के अनुसार आरोपी उन्हें यह सूचनाएं धन के एवज में उपलब्ध करा रहा था।

सिवाल को एटीएस फील्ड यूनिट मेरठ में बुलाया गया और नियमानुसार पूछताछ की गई। पूछताछ के दौरान वह संतोषजनक जवाब नहीं दे सका और अपना अपराध कबूल कर लिया। सिवाल 2021 से रूस के मॉस्को में भारतीय दूतावास में सुरक्षा सहायक के रूप में कार्यरत हैं। इस संबंध में एटीएस पुलिस थाना, लखनऊ में सतेन्‍द्र सिवाल के खिलाफ भारतीय दंड संहिता की धारा 121 ए आईपीसी (देश के खिलाफ आपराधिक साजिश) और शासकीय गुप्त अधिनियम 1923 के तहत एक प्राथमिकी दर्ज कर उसे गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया। इस बीच सूत्रों ने बताया कि विदेश मंत्रालय को सिवाल की गिरफ्तारी के बारे में जानकारी है और वह इस सिलसिले में संबंधित जांच अधिकारियों के साथ मिलकर काम कर रहा है।
