लखनऊ। उत्तर प्रदेश के आतंकवाद रोधी दस्ते (एटीएस) ने बिना वैध दस्तावेजों के देश में रहने और अवैध रूप से बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को भारत में लाने का गिरोह चलाने के आरोप में एक बांग्लादेशी नागरिक को गिरफ्तार किया है। एटीएस द्वारा बृहस्पतिवार को यहां जारी एक बयान के अनुसार, बांग्लादेश निवासी रशीद अहमद सरदार को मंगलवार को कानपुर रेलवे स्टेशन पर गिरफ्तार किया गया। उस समय आरोपी अवैध बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को लाने के लिए ट्रेन में यात्रा कर रहा था।

बयान के मुताबिक, आरोपी करीब आठ साल पहले देश में दाखिल हुआ था। उसने 2016 में पश्चिम बंगाल के एक पते पर आधार कार्ड बनवाया और पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश के सहारनपुर में एक मदरसे में प्रवेश लिया। बयान में कहा गया है कि आरोपी वर्तमान में दारुल उलूम देवबंद में रह रहा था। वह अवैध रूप से बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को देश के अंदर लाने और उन्हें यहां बसाने के लिए फर्जी दस्तावेज तैयार करने के काम में शामिल था। आरोपी भारत में अवैध रूप से रह रहे बांग्लादेशी नागरिकों को फर्जी भारतीय दस्तावेज भी उपलब्ध कराता था। एटीएस ने मुकदमा दर्ज कर जांच शुरू कर दी है।
