मुजफ्फरनगर। मुजफ्फरनगर जिले में कोतवाली थाना क्षेत्र के एक जंगल में पुलिस ने मुठभेड़ के बाद गोकशी करने वाले गिरोह के 12 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया, जिनमें तीन को पुलिस की गोली लगी है। पुलिस ने शनिवार को यह जानकारी दी। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक (एसएसपी) अभिषेक सिंह ने आज यहां पत्रकारों को बताया कि ग्राम मिमलाना के जंगल में आज पुलिस के साथ हुई मुठभेड़ में 12 आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है, जिनमें से तीन को गोली लगने से घायल होने के कारण जिला अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया है।
एसएसपी ने बताया कि गिरफ्तार आरोपियों में तीन की पहचान भूरा, मुनव्वर और तहसीम के रूप में हुई, जिन्हें जवाबी कार्रवाई में पुलिस की गोली लगी है। इनके अलावा पुलिस ने नौ अन्य को गिरफ्तार किया है। उन्होंने बताया कि आरोपियों के कब्जे से तीन गाय, तीन देशी पिस्तौल, कारतूस तथा वध करने के उपकरण और एक मोटरसाइकिल बरामद की गई। उन्होंने बताया कि यह गिरोह गोहत्या कर मांस आपूर्ति करने के लिए सक्रिय था। इनके बारे में मुखबिर से सूचना मिली थी जिसके आधार पर पुलिस ने घेराबंदी कर यह कार्रवाई की।
