कासगंज। अपने विवादित बयानों के लिये अक्सर चर्चा में रहने वाले समाजवादी पार्टी (सपा) के वरिष्ठ नेता स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य ने बुधवार को अयोध्या में 1990 में उत्तर प्रदेश की तत्कालीन मुलायम सिंह यादव सरकार द्वारा कार सेवकों पर गोली चलवाने के आदेश को उचित ठहराते हुए कहा कि ऐसा संविधान की रक्षा के लिए किया गया था। श्रीरामचरित मानस और हिंदू धर्म को लेकर हाल में विवादास्पद टिप्पणियों को लेकर सुर्खियों में रहे सपा नेता स्वामी प्रसाद मौर्य बौद्ध एकता समिति गंजडुंडवारा के तत्वावधान में आयोजित बौद्ध जनजागरण सम्मेलन में भाग लेने के लिए कासगंज में थे। मौर्य ने संवाददाताओं से बातचीत में एक सवाल पर कहा, अयोध्या में कार सेवकों पर गोलीबारी तत्कालीन सरकार द्वारा संविधान की रक्षा के अपने कर्तव्य को पूरा करने के लिए की गई थी।
उन्होंने कहा, उस समय बड़ी संख्या में अराजक तत्वों ने तोड़फोड़ की थी और तत्कालीन सरकार ने संविधान, शांति और व्यवस्था बचाने के लिए गोलियां चलवाई थीं। यह सरकार का कर्तव्य था और उसने ऐसा किया भी। मुलायम सिंह यादव के नेतृत्व वाली तत्कालीन सरकार ने 30 अक्टूबर 1990 को राम भक्तों पर गोली चलाने का आदेश दिया था। उस घटना में पांच कारसेवकों की मौत हुई थी। इस गोलीबारी को जायज ठहराने वाला मौर्य का बयान उस वक्त आया है जब अयोध्या में राम मंदिर में प्राण प्रतिष्ठा समारोह की तैयारियां जोरों पर हैं। विपक्ष द्वारा नरेन्द्र मोदी सरकार पर राम मंदिर के अभिषेक समारोह का राजनीतिकरण करने का आरोप लगाने के सवाल पर सपा नेता ने कहा, हम सभी धर्मों का सम्मान करते हैं, लेकिन भाजपा लाभ लेने के लिए इसका राजनीतिकरण कर रही है, जबकि पूरा देश जानता है कि मंदिर का निर्माण उच्चतम न्यायालय के आदेश पर हो रहा है।
उन्होंने कहा, जब उच्चतम न्यायालय ने अयोध्या मामले में आदेश दिया था तब सभी विपक्षी दलों ने इसका स्वागत किया था। इसका मतलब है कि किसी को भी राम मंदिर के निर्माण पर आपत्ति नहीं है, लेकिन भाजपा गलत तरीके से इसका श्रेय लेने की कोशिश कर रही है। मंदिर तब नहीं बना जब भाजपा के कद्दावर नेता अटल बिहारी वाजपेयी ने तीन बार देश की बागडोर संभाली। इसका मतलब केवल यह है कि मंदिर का निर्माण उच्चतम न्यायालय के आदेश पर हुआ, भाजपा के कारण नहीं।
