मुजफ्फरनगर। शामली जिले के झिंझाना थाना क्षेत्र के एक गांव में अज्ञात बदमाशों ने एक महिला की कथित रूप से गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी। पुलिस ने सोमवार को यह जानकारी दी। अपर पुलिस अधीक्षक (एएसपी) संतोष सिंह ने पत्रकारों को बताया कि शामली जिले के झिंझाना थाना क्षेत्र के गांव दथेड़ा में रविवार रात अज्ञात बदमाशों ने जीवन नामक शख्स की पत्नी कौशल्या (60) की उसके घर में गला दबाकर हत्या कर दी।
सिंह ने बताया कि सूचना मिलने पर पुलिस मौके पर पहुंची और जांच शुरू कर दी। उन्होंने कहा कि शव को पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेज दिया गया है। एएसपी ने कहा कि महिला के गले पर चोट के निशान हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि घटना उस समय हुई जब पीड़िता अपने घर में अकेली सो रही थी। सिंह ने बताया कि पुलिस सीसीटीवी के जरिए बदमाशों की पहचान करने की कोशिश कर रही है, जिसमें दो लोग उसके घर में घुसते दिखे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि हत्या के कारण जानने में पुलिस लगी है।
